Job requirements include:
Established custom commercial architectural millwork company seeking a qualified candidate to join our team.

Experience in reading and interpreting architectural drawings

Detailed, organized, and production oriented

Must be able to work independently and with others

Position will require drafting of Architectural Millwork Plans, Elevations & Details for submission and fabrication ensuring optimal use of materials, construction methodology, constructability, manufacturing and installation

Ability to value engineer, perform self-directed product research and propose different methods of construction methods while meeting design intent and budget/time restrictions

Build and sustain client and product rep relationships; act as the primary design interface with clients, team members, and a wide range of consultants and collaborators, both internal and external

Communicate directly with clients and able to interpret their ideas into presentable concepts

Express an ability to compose spaces including the creation of identity, context, branding, materiality and color as it relates to the project/client

Know or develop knowledge of layout, shop drawing and construction drawing principles for customized commercial millwork and/or casework

General knowledge of millwork industry details, construction techniques and joints, types of engineered wood panels, high pressure laminate and edge banding, general industry hardware (euro hinges, drawer slides, etc.)

Experience in wood products manufacturing helpful

Hands on bench/shop floor experience that is applied to engineering practices helpful

Coordinates with kitchen consultants and has experience incorporating kitchen appliance specifications and cut sheets within custom millwork details

Experience using AutoCAD required, Sketchup preferred

Experience with developing drawings for cnc and ability to help develop future in-house cnc department
