Monroe Streetscape
Greektown, Detroit

 

Commissioned by the Greektown Preservation Society, the Monroe Street project utilized effective urban design principles to improve the pedestrian environment. Site elements include custom outdoor seating platforms, railings and planter boxes that reclaim street parking to enhance Greektown's outdoor dining experience without impeding on the busy nightlife area’s pedestrian traffic flow.
